First, thank you so much for taking time to check out The Hope Balloon! The response has been overwhelming and I am completely humbled by the number of people willing to join in our project and make a difference. My mother passed away in 2009 from colorectal cancer. It’s cliche, but life is short. It moves fast, with or without us. I have learned that there is always so much we can be doing to help someone else and this is my tiny contribution to the world

I believe in… God, wishing the best for others, having a positive attitude and being kind. Over the years I have been inspired while attending charity events across the country. In 2007 & 2008, I gathered more than 100 quilts each year and donated them to homeless shelters in Los Angeles County. In late 2010, I started a small hand-made card fundraiser, which has been really fun and successful. I have gone to several annual fundraising ‘walks’ and 5K’s in the last 10 years and look forward to completing many more! This year, along with my sister, I am focusing my free time on volunteering at cancer fundraising events in Southern California.

Thanks again for checking out The Hope Balloon!
